How It All Began

My love for baking started with my mom, Rosa Lee Arrington. Back in 1995, I began baking cakes for her to bring to work for different office events. It wasn’t long before her coworkers started placing orders of their own, especially around the holidays. That Thanksgiving, I baked and sold 73 cakes! Red velvet quickly became the fan favorite, and to this day, it’s still my best seller. I always tell my customers:
“Nobody can beat me at red velvet—GUARANTEED!”

When I first started, I didn’t know how to measure ingredients or shop for supplies the right way. But I learned through practice, persistence, and a whole lot of love for baking. What began with simple cakes has grown to include cupcakes, and they’ve taken off in a big way!

Today, my business is officially registered under Alabama’s Home Processed Products & Cottage Food Law, which allows me to sell my homemade treats right from home or at local farmers' markets. I’m so excited for what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to keep sharing my cakes and cupcakes with even more people!
